Can my child wait at the hall between classes?

Yes! If your child has a class before or after another class, they are welcome to wait in the lobby area between classes.

The lobby will be open so children can use the toilets and wait safely between lessons. During our hire periods, the building is secured and access is restricted to the public, helping us maintain a safe environment for our dancers.

Is the building secure during dance classes?

Yes. The building is locked during our hire periods, so the hall is not open to members of the public while classes are taking place.

The safety and wellbeing of our dancers is incredibly important to us, and we take steps to ensure they are in a secure environment during their time at Abbey Dance.

Can parents stay and watch classes?

Our regular classes aren't open for parents to watch. This helps minimise distractions and disruption during lessons, allowing our dancers to concentrate, learn and enjoy their time in class.

We may occasionally hold special viewing days or invite parents into lessons, and we'll always let you know in advance when this is happening.

For our youngest dancers, particularly preschoolers who may be nervous when starting something new, we understand that having a parent or carer nearby can sometimes help them settle. In these circumstances, we may allow a parent to stay for their first few lessons while they gain confidence.

Every child is different, and we know that starting a new class can feel like a big step — for children and parents!
